As the 125 passengers who flew down from Singapore on Friday in the city they were screened at the airport and weren’t found with the symptoms but have been asked to be in a quarantine mode as a precaution.
Even though Singapore doesn’t fall in the list of unsafe countries still the precautions will be taken. Even though the passengers do not have the symptoms at the airport screening the virus can outbreak at anytime after a period and they fall in category C as per the protocol of WHO.
The passengers who come down from the unsafe countries will be quarantined even if they do not show symptoms as a preventive measure they will be in the isolation ward. As of now, 31 cases are admitted in King George Hospital and Government Chest Hospital isolation wards in the city.
The swab samples were sent and they have all tested negative except one. The 65 year old who was recently diagnosed with COVID-19, his close associates have been put in isolation ward.
The roads look deserted in Allipuram area and nobody is coming outdoors and even the health department officials are putting their efforts to curtail this further spread.
