4-month-old baby defeats COVID-19

A four-month-old baby affected with COVID-19, was discharged from the VIMS, Visakhapatnam- a state COVID-19 hospital Yesterday. following 18 days of ventilator treatment, the baby tested negative.

District collector, Vinay Chand said the baby was discharged by the doctors at VIMS on Friday following a health checkup.

“Laxmi, a tribal woman from East- Godavari district and her 4-month-old baby were infected with covid-19. The baby was shifted to Visakhapatnam VIMS Hospital on May 25. She was treated for 18 days. Doctors conducted baby’s Covid-19 test again; the reports came negative and was discharged.” The collector added.
