The state-level committee of the ‘Madya Vimochana Prachara Committee’ which was formed to create public awareness on the ill effects of alcohol consumption, would conduct a short film competition on ‘Liquor impact-phase wise liquor ban in AP’, APMVC chairman Vallamareddy Lakshmana Reddy said. Stating further he said that 15 awards will be given for the short film in Telugu with five minutes duration. While Rs 10,000 cash award for each would be given to the top five short films and Rs. 7,500 cash awards to the second category of five short films and Rs. 5,000 cash awards to the third category of five short films.
He said that APMVC would announce the winners on September 28 and interested short filmmakers should send their short films to apmvpc.gov.in @gmail.com on, or before September 25 which is the last date. He said that there is no entry fee so interested persons can participate in the competition from both Telugu States. He said that the APMVC will give cash rewards with appreciation letters to the winners on October 2, on the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi He said that the short films, which have already been uploaded on YouTube are not eligible, and only new short films with a message to awaken society would be taken for competition.
