Araku is the boon to Visakhapatnam. This place is also known as the ANDHRA OOTY. It is one of the famous hill stations. To witness its beauty, visiting it during the monsoons is the best time. Maredumilli is the forest area of East Godavari district. This is a part of eastern ghats that always look evergreen. These forests are rich in flora and fauna with many waterfalls and terrain. This is a beautiful hill station located in Andhra Pradesh, 144 km from Tirupati. This place was named after W.D.Horsley, a collector of the Kadapa district during those British times. Nagarjuna Sagar Dam is one of the largest dams in India. It is located between Nalgonda and Guntur districts on the Krishna river in Andhra Pradesh. This dam provides electricity and irrigation to nearby districts like Krishna, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Khammam, West Godavari, Guntur and Prakasam. Nagarjuna Sagar Dam is a perfect destination to visit in the monsoon for those who love nature. Nagarjuna Sagar dam, wildlife sanctuary, Nagarjuna Konda Museum, Ethipothala waterfalls are the must-visit places if you ever visit Nagarjuna Sagar dam. Don’t forget to go boating. With the monsoon, when the gates are open in September and October it is an eye feast. The lake beside it is the 3rd largest man-made lake in the world.
Belum caves are located in Kurnool. These are the second largest and longest natural caves in India. These caves have long passages, caverns with fresh water. These caves are special in terms of geology and history. History tells that these caves were occupied by Jains and Buddhists years ago. Also, there is a meditation centre in the middle of the caves that brings out the spirituality in you. Visiting these caves can give a great experience because of the deep passages and the 26 gateways it has. These caves do feel cold and peaceful especially in monsoons.
