7 days institutional quarantine for International air passengers: AAI Advisory


The Airports Authority of India after the announcement of Unlock 3.0 has issued a travel advisory on the health and safety requirements of passengers at airports.

The advisory says that swab of 10 per cent of randomly selected people coming by private Airlines will be collected at the airports itself. The preference for the swab test is people of more than 60 years age and children of less than 10 years.

The people arriving at the airport in Vizag, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry and Tirupati by domestic flights will be asked to go for 14-day home quarantine while for international passengers, seven-day institutional quarantine will be prescribed.

“Exemption will be given to the passengers who have some business to deal. They will be suggested home quarantine. These business passengers have to provide Covid negative certificate issued by ICMR authorised laboratory within the last three days of arrival,” said the travel advisory. The passengers arriving at these airports have to download Arogya Setu app. All passengers are required to register themselves on the Spandana website and obtain clearance before booking the tickets.
