Kailasagiri, a hilltop park situated in our city is the biggest tourist spot and even won an award from the Government of Andhra Pradesh as the “best tourist spot” in 2003. This place comprises 380 acres of land fully covered with trees and attractions. Visiting isn’t just enough. There are few things that you should not miss doing when you visit kailasagiri. Here are those must do things when you visit Kailasagiri.
The next time you visit Kailasagiri, ditch the road route and try the ropeway. A cable car is attached to the ropeway which takes you to the top of the hill. This is a little experience you cannot miss! You can get a bird’s eye view of the entire city.
Upon reaching the park on the kailasagiri, there is a train which takes you around the kailasagiri hill in a circle. You can witness the park from sitting in the train itself. This saves you from walking a lot and you can even explore the whole kailasagiri without stepping down!
Don’t forget to visit the little Shiva temple on the top of the hill. This small temple which has lord Shiva’s idol in it is something you shouldn’t miss to visit. The pleasant surroundings at the temple will definitely bring you a peace of mind.

Statue of Shiva and Parvathi
There is a 40 feet tall Lord Shiva and Parvathi’s statues in the Kailasagiri. This is one of the major attractions of this place. Such beautiful statues one must not miss to witness when visiting Kailasagiri. The beautiful lush green patches add a lot of beauty to these statues.
Don’t forget to take a bird’s eye view from the view points that are everywhere. You can find lots of greenery all around from every side from the top of the hill. From one point you can witness the whole city view. In the nights you can even witness the city that is fully covered with lights. Don’t forget to witness both the views at day and night time.
Another attraction on the Kailasagiri hill top is the floral clock on which you can’t take your eyes off. Shanku Chakra namam on the top of the building which lightens up in the nights that can be visible to almost all over near the kailasagiri.
