Child Right’s activist, Mr. Abdul Raqib, passed away here on October 9. Raqib was an advocate by profession and as a member of Juvenile Justice Board (JJB), he served relentlessly for the cause of child rights, correctional schools and societal work.
Mr Raqib served the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) as a panel member.
His Contribution to the Judicial, Police and Legal fraternity is praiseworthy.
Mr. Raqib had served as the vice-president of Visakha Forum for Child Right’s. He was instrumental in the project Muskaan which saved good number of children from the clutches of illicit trafficking.
During COVID 19 lockdown he was a role model to the Vizagites as he was in the forefront to serve people. Indeed he was a social contributor who literally worked for the children of slum areas and he is a loss to the NGO community.
Rahimunnisa Begum, Joint secretary, Visakha Forum for Child Right’s among the others condoled the death of Raqib.
