Filmmaker Gopi Ganesh is ramping up the casting of Godse, his next directorial with Satyadev, after their earlier collaboration Bluff Master. The project’s title was announced just recently. Now, the makers on Sunday announced that Malayalam actress Aishwarya Lekshmi will be making her Telugu debut with the project. An MBBS graduate from Cochin, Lekshmi was in advanced talks with debutant Pradeep Varma for his recently announced film with Sree Vishnu last year but the talks couldn’t move forward due to her busy schedule. In Godse, the makers said, Lekshmi will be seen in a performance-oriented role.
Speaking to us recently, the director said Godse has no relation to Nathuram Godse who killed Mahatma Gandhi. “Like what Nagarjuna did in Azad, Satyadev as Godse is up to something in the film. Plus, I will be highlighting the issues that a society doesn’t take seriously, so there will be an undercurrent message as well,” he had said. Sunil Kashyap, who composed the music for Bluff Master, is being repeated for this project as well. A Hyderabad-set drama, the likes of Naseer, Brahmaji and Aditya Menon are on board for supporting roles.
