Minister for Tourism Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao on Wednesday urged Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to clear the works worth Rs 3,611 lakh for the development of basic infrastructure in community health centres and primary health centres in the Bheemili assembly constituency.
Srinivasa Rao, who met the chief minister in his camp office at Tadepalli also requested a financial grant to develop nine beaches including Sagar Nagar beach, Pedda Rushikonda beach, M. Timmapuram beach (opposite Rama Naidu studios), Mangamaripeta beach, Chepaluppada beach, INS Kalinga beach, Erramattidibbalu beach and Bheemili beach, for development on the lines of the ‘Blue flag beach’ in Rushikonda.
Basic amenities like toilets, drinking water facilities, changing rooms, first aid centres, CCTV control rooms, benches, open showers, food courts, sit-out recliners with umbrellas, children’s parks, fitness equipment, jogging tracks, parking facilities, safe swimming zones, beach sports, solar power plants, and beach information points can be developed to boost tourism, said Srinivasa Rao
Tourism Minister Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao said, on the similar lines of Blue flag beach at Rushikonda with a budget of Rs. 7 crores, the remaining nine beaches which are also proposed to be developed will attract an investment of Rs. 63, and once it is developed these beaches would certainly become major tourist attractions for both domestic and foreign tourists.
He also sought the establishment of a junior college at Padmanabham, a degree college at Madhurawada and a degree college for women at Bheemili. He said they proposed to upgraded the 30-bed health centre in Bheemili into a 100-bed one. Proposals were also made to improve facilities at health centres in Madhurawada, R Tallavalsa, Aanandapuram and Revadi. Tourism Minister said the Chief Minister has responded positively to the proposals he had made.
