Allana Group with whom the AP government tied up for the Jaganna Jeeva Kranthi program for establishing sheep and goat rearing units for women, will open a research and development center in Visakhapatnam, announced by the District Collector V Vinay Chand.
The Allana Group is India’s largest exporter of processed food products and agro commodities, including Frozen / Chilled Meat, Processed / Frozen Fruit and Vegetable products, Coffee, Spices, and Cereals. The group export to the requirements of over 85 countries while maintaining the highest standards of quality in procurement, manufacturing, and distribution.
He along with Minister Muttamsetti Srinivas Rao, Araku MP Gotteti Madhavi, and senior officials participated in the video conference help by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy during the launch of the scheme. Minister Srinivas Rao said with this scheme the farmers would have additional income that would strengthen their financial stability.
Lok Sabha member Madhavi said the scheme would do a lot more to the poor Adivasis living in the remote agency areas. Collector said that 1,012 units would be grounded in Visakhapatnam with an amount of Rs. 7.59 crore. Every beneficiary would get Rs. 5 lakh in four years.
