Ban on liquor in Andhra Pradesh from March 12 to 29

As the local body elections are ahead, the State Government have imposed a ban on liquor. This was announced on Monday by Anil Kumar Yadav, Irrigation Minister AP.
This decision was taken considering the people shouldn’t get influenced due to money or alcohol before polls. The code of conduct has been strictly framed before the polls as there shouldn’t be any sort of corruption or mal practises that should be prevailing.
All the respective local body elections will be on March 21, 23, 27 and 29, pollings will be conducted in two phases. Also, this time enough measures have been taken to avoid malpractices, there is also Nigha app, if any malpractices are seen then one can report.
