She is one of the most beautiful South Indian actresses and has won several awards for her acting skills as well, bubbly, charming, and enchanting. Born on 28th of April 1987, her father is Telugu and her mother a Malayali. She still identifies herself as a “Tamilian”. She completed her commerce degree from Stella Maris College in Chennai and towards the end of her college course, she started her modeling career and worked with Naidu Hall, where she was spotted by filmmaker Ravi Varma.
Samantha began her professional film career with Gautham Menon’s Telugu film, called Ye Maaya Chesave (2010, which was later made into a Tamil film where Samantha was also cast and she called this experience one of the most enriching ones as it moulded her into a better actress. It fetched her the Filmfare Award for Best Debut Actress and a Nandi Award. Her next project was Banna Kathaadi and then the film Moscowin Kavery.
In 2012, Samantha featured in the big-budget Telugu film, called Dookudu (2012) alongside Mahesh Babu, which became one of the most successful Telugu films of all time. In 2012, she took a break due to an immune disorder and came back stronger than ever. Her fame was bigger than ever at this point and directors and producers from all over the industry wanted to work with her.
Since then, she has starred in movies like Mahanati, Oh!Baby, Anjaan, Their, and more. She has been unapologetic with her looks and had gotten a nose job as well to enhance her features and was not hush hush about it like most celebs are. She’s outspoken and deeply cares about the people and her fans.
Samantha has actively been involved in philanthropic activities and donates her earnings from endorsements, product launches, and inauguration events to her charitable trust, Pratyusha Support, which was registered in 2012.
