BJP leader and former MLA P. Vishnu Kumar Raju has been appointed as the member of the National Board of MSME ( Micro Small & Medium enterprises) by Nitin Gadkari, Central Minister for Road Transport & Highways and the MSME, Government of India
P Vishnu Kumar Raju, 52 is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and has won the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, 2014 from Visakhapatnam North, Andhra Pradesh. P Vishnu Kumar Raju was actually from Kapavaram Village in W.G. Dist. His family migrated to Visakhapatnam in the 1970s. Vishnu was a state ranker in His School at VT College, Vizag and Topper in Civil Engineering from Andhra University and a Gold Medalist from Andhra University.
As a member of the National Board of MSME he will oversee the following functions:
To examine matters referred by the NBMSME concerning promotion and development of the MSME sector and enhancing its competitiveness.
To provide advice to the Central Government on issues related to the promotion, development and enhancement of competitiveness of micro, small and medium enterprises, covered under Section 9 to 12 and Section 14 of the MSMED Act, 2006, which include issues concerning Credit Facilities, Procurement of Preference Policy, Constitution and Administration of Funds, etc.
To provide advice to the State Governments (in the case sought by any of them) on issues relating to notifying any rule made to carry out the provisions of the MSMED Act-2006 including the composition of Micro, Small Enterprises Facilitation Councils, etc. as provided under section 30.
Recommend or advise Central Government or State Governments or the Board, as the case may be, in connection with the classification of a class(es) of enterprises after taking into consideration the level of employment, investments, need of higher investment in plant and machinery or equipment for technology up-gradation, employment generation and enhanced competitiveness and international standards for the classification of small and medium enterprises.
