The Bala Vikas Foundation (BVF), Visakhapatnam has requested for an intervention to revive the AP Child Labor Advisory Board. BVF is a registered NGO that has been working from the past 20 years for the welfare and development of children who are deprived of fundamental right of education in the city of destiny. The letter stated that a few years ago there was an active AP state child labour Advisory Board under his supervision and the Board worked day and night to minimize the existence of  child  labour system in AP by offering suitable suggestions from  time to time to the labour department Govt of AP.

During the present pandemic, many National and international organisations like UNO,UNICEF and Save the children etc conducted a survey and concluded that possibilities  of increasing child labour is certain hence warned the Governments to take precautions to prevent  it. Hence, the  above advisory  board is need of the hour.

“In this  connection, we humbly request you to intervene to revive the board for the protection of child  rights. Since  a child is an asset of Nation and development of later depends largely on health mental and physical  growth, the revival of the Board to take care of only a small percentage of the deprived section of the children is important. It has to be taken care for the protection of child rights in the best interest of children and their right to education,” stated the letter.
