Coffee cultivation to be increased by 2025 in Araku and other areas in Visakhapatnam

Coffee cultivation was increased previously and now the Government plans to increase about 58,000 acres further by 2025.
Coffee cultivation in Araku is quite famous in fact as it tastes delicious when sipped coffee in that region. Now it is good news as the Government is planning to extend further the coffee plantation in the next five years.

The high-altitude and weather are favorable for the coffee plantation and that’s the reason the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) and Coffee Board are on their way to make the coffee plantation happen in areas of Visakhapatnam district.

About 80% boost in the economy of that region is from this plantation and now the Agency’s main focus is to work on the betterment of export, as after Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Araku coffee stands in third place and improvement of it is only the main priority.
