The Women’s Wing of Vizagapatam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) conducted “Collaborative Citizenship for Brand Visakha” by the recently appointed office bearers for the term 2020-22.
Giving an exhaustive set of examples and successful case studies, Ms Shefali Chaturvedi, Key note speaker charted a course of initiatives the Women’s Wing could take up and implement over their two year term. Spanning topics from policy advocacy to gender budgeting and using religion as a tool of change, the talk was very motivating for the listeners of the webinar. She suggested events that involved building capacity in Education, health and micro business segments through various processes, mentoring and business linkages. Elaborating on collaboration with citizen groups in establishing and magnifying the city brand was at the core of her talk.
Ms Shefali Chaturvedi, who has had almost three decades of experience in various capacities with the Confederation of Indian Industry including Founding CEO of CII Foundation, Director & Head – CII Young Indians, Executive Director – Society of Indian Defence manufacturers among others. Very recently stepped out of the CII to set up a consultancy service of her own.
VCCI Women’s Wing welcomes suggestions and collaborations with citizens as individuals or groups to help take this mission forward. VCCI Women’s Wing Honorary Secretary Sandhya Godey coordinated his and conducted this event. Women’s Wing President Hema Hari proposed the vote of thanks. President, Secretary of VCCI and Youth Wing also attended the event along with Women’s Wing members.
