COVID-19 testing centre set up in KGH, Visakhapatnam


Initially the swab samples were sent to Kakinada or SVIMS at Tirupati but now the testing centre has been inaugurated in King George Hospital on Friday.

The Vizag city will have its testing centre in KGH and now the samples can checked in the testing centre itself. The centre was inaugurated by Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao, Minister for tourism, on Friday at Rajendra Prasad ward in the presence of District Collector and VMRDA chairman.

At this testing centre about 60 samples can be tested per day. As of now one of the patient has been recovered. It is said that the next two weeks are quite crucial in order to break the chain as the cases have already spiked up in these few days.

The testing centre has been inaugurated and it will be functioning soon.
