SKOCH Group, India’s leading think tank dealing with socio-economic issues has announced their prestigious SKOCH group awards 2020 recently.

Department of Health, Medical & Family Welfare, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh received award in SKOCH awards 2020 for the impeccable work done with help of technological advancements during COVID19 Pandemic.

Dept. of Health was honoured with SKOCH awards 2020 in “Covid19 – Digital Handling”

This digital system connects the common man with the help of customised technology where their grievances, requests for COVID19 tests, sample status, results, nearest hospital details, Bed availability, etc were addressed within a stipulated time by the concerned health worker. Failure of which escalates to higher officials, district & state authorities for immediate action.

Mobile applications – Mobile applications were made available for the citizens to give them information about test centres, to raise a test request, Local Medical officer contact details, Hospitals, beds, grievance portals. Other apps for Pharma stores, ANMs, Medical Officers were also made available to ensure seamless process flow in the entire ecosystem to contain COVID-19.

Citizen Information Services – It provides real-time data to the public about various aspects of COVID management. Starting with test location, COVID test registration with ID, Test result status, Local medical officer contact details, daily vital information to patient & one family members when admitted in a hospital.

All the information is provided to the phone via SMS, COVID19 AP app, Web portal, 104 call centre, Social Media, volunteers etc. This eventually reduced the response time and helped in early detection of the Coronavirus disease.
