The brutal rape case that caused a stir in people’s hearts all over India on November 29 night at Shamshabad, an area in Hyderabad, has given birth to the Disha Act. This act will be a relief to the women residing in and around Andhra Pradesh as under this act the investigation will be completed within seven days and the trial within 14 days. No more derailing of Justice being served to women as Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Chief Minister launched the first Disha Police station in Rajahamahendravaram on Saturday. Ensuring the women’s safety as a priority, the city will have its first Disha Police station in a week’s time at Yendada.
Once the Act gets green light by the President and Ministry of Home affairs then the Disha police station will handle cases booked under the Act. Any atrocities against women will be dealt with at a fast pace.
Precautions being taken by the city for women:
The Disha App has already been launched, three forensic labs that avoid sabotage of the reports, and also three vehicles on the run in the city.
“As the availability of the Disha App in the play store will be in the next 48 hours. One can download it and use it at any hour of eve, even if one is held up in an oblivious situation, the victim can shake the phone for five times,” said RK Meena, the Police commissioner.
The app is GPS enabled and will be able to track the occurrence of aghast events
Any hour of eve should be safe for the women in the city and all over the place, to avoid the heinous crimes that occur every second, this implementation will reduce the atrocities.
