Producer Bellamkonda Suresh, who was instrumental in setting up Alludu Adhurs, starring his son Sreenivas, has said that as a father he wanted to see his son in a film like Kandireega, which he produced. “To realise it, I rang Santosh Srinivas one day last year, enquiring for a good script. He met me a month later with the script and I was sold. The film is a confluence of humour, action and horror,” the producer said.
He was speaking at the pre-release event of the film in Hyderabad on Sunday. Sreenivas said that Santosh treated him like his own brother on the sets and is grateful for the dedication the director has shown on the project. “He has invested one and half years on the project. During the lockdown as well, he was consistently thinking about the film, wanting to take it to the next level. I extend my wholehearted thanks to him,” the actor said.
He predicted that Nabha Natesh will have a bright future in the industry, while Anu Emmanuel will be the surprise package of the film. Raving Devi Sri Prasad’s music, the actor said the composer took the film to the next level with his work. Describing the film, which opens this Thursday, as a wholesome family entertainer, he promised the audience it will guarantee fun from the first frame to the last.
