‘Durga’ the new Royal Bengal Tiger at Vizag Zoo


Durga was born two years back and as part of the animal exchange program she was sent from Kanan- Pendari Zoological Garden, Bilaspur in Chattisgarh to India Gandhi Zoological Park, Visakhapatnam in return of Star Tortoises on Thursday.
Durga was sent in Korba-Visakhapatnam express. The tiger is under observation for the quarantine period. After the period completes she will released for the display for the visitors.
Previously there were various animals brought to the zoo from Zebra, Marmoset, Monitor Lizard to two Asiatic lions.
It will be an enticing view when the magnanimous Tiger will be left open in the enclosure.
