There have been quite of lot of uproar that has been going around on the internet ever since the coal deficiency came into light. There have been rumours about the power cuts in rural, urban areas as well as cities in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
With a steep rise in the gap between demand and availability, there have been rumours that the state government is all set to implement power cuts.
Some fake news on the web have even stated the power cut timings in rural, urban areas and cities.
But clarifying all the rumours, N. Srikant said the A.P.-Genco has been provided ₹250 crore for procuring coal and eight extra rakes were allotted to the State per day to tide over the crisis. He clarified that the news circulating in the social media about the power cuts for several hours after Dussehra festival in the name of emergency load relief were all rumours.
