He also received a death sentence and he wrote a letter to the daughter of the jailer before his execution. He signed the letter with the sentence ‘From Your Valentine’ in the end. Saint Valentinus was buried on February 14.

Valentine’s day is nothing associated with love until the middle age. The celebrations in England during the 17th Century began to resemble the current day celebrations.
