First positive case of Corona in Andhra Pradesh


The 24-year old student who returned from Italy a few days back was kept in the isolation ward at Government General Hospital, Nellore due to the COVID-19 symptoms.
The tests turned out to be positive which was conducted at Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) in Tirupati. His family members and close associates have been kept in the isolation ward as a preventive measure.
The patient has been doing fine now and after checking his sample again and after he gets cured he will be discharged. Already six hospitals have been equipped with the isolation ward in Nellore and also the district collector of Nellore MV Seshagiri Babu has already instructed the health officers to conduct a survey in each household and spread awareness among people.
