TDP Vizag North MLA Ganta Srinivas Rao, the winning horse of all democratic process, is keeping all the political observers guessing over his expected migration to other political parties amid his close friends switching loyalties to ruling YSRCP. If sources are to be believed, it is the other way round. What an irony, one time friends becoming arch-rivals and mud-slinging is the order of the day in the present political environment in the state.
With the changing landscape of Vizag after being declared as executive capital and the recent appointment of Daggubati Purandeswari as national general secretary of the BJP, Ganta Srinivas Rao’s closing in with BJP seems to the favorable wind that is blowing now. Backroom hectic-confabulations is going on if insiders of the state BJP leaders are to believed. After all, It’s a win-win situation both for TDP and BJP, which is set to arrest the power from the present incumbent in the future
For new entrants in the YSRCP, entry of Ganta Srinivas Rao means more priority and poaching of more leaders into the ruling party fold and in the process of weakening the TDP, which everybody sees has no prospects in the near future. It seems, even after influencing the high command of the YSRCP using its network of friends by Ganta Srinivas Rao, close aides of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, is blocking his entry, the reasons known to them.
Ganta Srinivas Rao is known for winning elections from different constituencies every time he contests and has never played a losing card in politics. So he will be the trump card for the BJP because contesting from different constituencies and his strong organizational skills, coupled with the instinct to correctly read the minds of the voters may help BJP improve the party’s tally in future elections. For ordinary men, he is not a king in politics but an emperor, whose charisma will bring definite change in North Andhra Politics. Nevertheless, only time will tell is his entry will boon or bane for any party which he chooses to join.
