It is said that a four-year old tiger named as Nadia have contracted the virus from a caretaker of the Zoo.

Initially the man didn’t have the symptoms of COVID-19, after a while it was seen that the Malayan tiger and her sister Azul and five other Amur and African lions had dry cough and when tested they were confirmed with Coronavirus.

The scope of their recovery is high said the wildlife conservation society. Already there are rumours that animals pass on the virus, clearing the airs, the officials said that as of now, it hasn’t been seen that due to animals this virus gets passed on. The household pets are not responsible for the spread of the virus.

In this tiger case, the virus spread from Man to the tigers. And in other cases to the cases turned positive due to a human transmission and not from the animals.

The other aquariums, zoo have been closed as of now in New York from March 16.
