GVMC takes up complaints on social media


Due to the spread of corona virus in urban areas, requests from the public were not received directly by the municipal corporation. So, in an effort to address the issues, GVMC took the requests through social media like Facebook and Twitter.

Requests from the public were made by GVMC during an e-response event conducted on Monday. Additional Commissioner AV Ramani received the complaints from people. Talking directly with the complainants and giving an explanation on the complaints, the additional commissioner said she would work to resolve the issues.

A total of 16 complaints were received from various parts of the urban area during the e-response program, which includes Electrical section – 02, Veterinary Department – 05, Public Works Division – 06, Town Planning Division – 01, Water Supply Division – 02.

The Commissioner who examined the complaints directed the concerned authorities to take appropriate action.

The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer M. Venkateswara Rao, Examiner of Accounts Y. Mangapati Rao, CCP Vidyullatha, JD (Amrut) Vijaya Bharathi, DC (R) A. Ramesh Kumar, ADH M. Damodar Rao, FA & AO Mallikamba and D.P.O. Chandrika.
