Let’s be real. We’re all stressed due to the uncertainty of our surroundings right now. Our sleep schedules are as messed up as our lives right now. Due to the irregular food intake, sleep, and physical activity, our skin is also giving up on us. However, with these 4 ingredients, which is found in our kitchen can be used to pamper ourselves an recreate a Mini spa feeling for us and our family.
All you need is Honey, Olive Oil (Coconut Oil, would also work), Granulated Sugar (or Brown Sugar), and Instant Coffee Powder.
How to proceed with these four ingredients :
a) For your Hair:
Make a super nourishing hair mask by mixing one part honey with 3 parts of olive oil. Mix them and heat the mixture in the microwave for 30-40 seconds. Put in on your hair from root to tip and wash it off after 30 minutes.
Olive oil helps in strengthening and smoothening your hair, while honey helps in trapping moisture in your locks.
b) For your Lips:
Mix in one tbsp of honey with either sugar or coffee to get a scrub like coarse texture. Scrub it on your lips and rinse it off to get smooth, supple and healthy-looking lips. Coffee improves blood circulation, whereas sugar peels the dead skin off.
c) For your Face:
Make a great exfoliating scrub by mixing ½ cup of sugar with ¼ cup olive oil and 1 tbsp of honey. You’re supposed to have a thick, grainy paste-like consistency. Granulated sugar works best as the crystals help in clarifying the skin.
d) For your Body:
Coffee is not just for drinking early (or late) in the morning. Mix in ½ cup of coffee with 1 cup of sugar, and add in 2/3rd cup on olive oil and 1 tbsp of honey. Make sure to wet the skin before applying the scrub. Coffee is known to beat cellulite, by increasing blood flow in the body. It also has de-tanning properties.
