On his 200th birth anniversary, Google honors Tenniel.
Open google today and you will be wondering the pretty illustration done is by whom, the man behind it is Sir John Tenniel who is no more but is still appreciated for his pretty illustrations. Mostly celebrated for his illustrations for Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll. Despite losing sight in his right eye at the age of 20 he continued with his work and was appreciated as an illustrator and humorist.
First, he worked for The Book of British Ballads in 1842 which was by Samuel Carter Hall. Then he worked as a Political cartoonist in a weekly magazine called Punch. And then after noticing his works, in 1864, he was approached by Lewis Carroll.
With the amazing creative-duo working along produced many good works.
