India has recorded 8,392 new cases in the past 24 hours, making it the biggest one day jump so far. The total number of cases has increased to 1,90,535 cases as of today.

India has also recorded 209 deaths in the past 24 hours, increasing the death toll to 5,394, according to the official website of the health ministry which supplies information on Covid-19 cases.

The number of active cases is 93,322, and the number of discharged and cured patients stands at 91,818. The number has spiked after relaxations were allowed in various sectors in the country, and with seemingly no lockdown from 1st June, but only restrictions, the number is expected to go up.

The number of cases in Andhra Pradesh stands at 3,042, with the death toll at 62 as of today.
