India reports 15,000+ cases for the second day in a row, crosses 4 lakh mark yesterday


India has recorded 15,158 new cases in the past 24 hours. On Saturday, the cases recorded were 15,918, marking the highest recorded spike in cases in the country. The total number of cases has increased to 4,26,910 cases as of today.

India has also recorded 426 deaths in the past 24 hours, increasing the death toll to 13,703 according to the official website of the health ministry which supplies information on Covid-19 cases.

The number of active cases is 1,75,904, and the number of discharged and cured patients stands at 2,37,252.

The number of cases in Andhra Pradesh stands at 8,929 with the death toll at 106 as of today. The number of active cases are 4,516 and the discharged patients are 4,307. The number of cases in Visakhapatnam stands at 443, with 35 new cases in the last 24 hours.
