India to take a decision over the export of Hydroxychloroquine to the USA, if not exported US would ‘retaliate’

Hydroxychloroquine is an anti-malaria drug, which is being used in the treatment of COVID-19. India is the largest producer of this drug and stopped its export to all the countries by March 25 as it is needed for the patients in India.

USA has reported more than 3 lakh cases as of now, the conditions have worsen. The drug ‘Hydroxychloroquine’ hasn’t been proved as a permanent solution but can be effective though in the treatment.

Trump has made a plea to lift the ban on the export of the key drug, it is said that he even spoke to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday about it and had a positive exchange. It is most likely, that a partial ban may be lifted to export the drug.

When Trump was questioned about it, that what if the drug wasn’t exported, he said, there has been a positive exchange of words on this export issue. But if the drug isn’t exported then US will retaliate.
Overall the situation is quite worse with above 13 lakh cases and US is topping the list in the most contracted cases of COVID-19.
