Kadapa prisoners stitch 25,000 face masks as of now

Crisis is the mother of invention for sure. When times are difficult people tend to learn things or discover things on their own.

One great example is that of the Kadapa prisoners, the inmates have so far stitiched 25,000 masks as of now in the time of crisis. Masks are being produced in other places to like Visakhapatnam, Nellore, but the prisoners of Kadapa are excelling at this like a pro.

The demand is about 40,000 and the prisoners in Kadapa are doing quite well. The inmates started making masks well before the lockdown was clamped upon. Prisoners are skilled at different things, they are using their skills productively at this time.

Per day they are producing about 2,500 masks and the Kadapa prison is one among India to make such a mass production. And they are cheap too comparatively to the other shops outside.
