Born on 29th September 1970, she started her career as a child artist in the Hindi film “The Burning Train” and was in the song “Teri Hai Zameen Tera Aasman”. She even performed as a child artist in films like Naseeb, Lawaris, Kaalia, Dard ka Rishta, and Bemisal. She has done many famous songs like Bol Baby Bol from Meri Jung and Main pariyon Ki Shehzaadi from Bemisal.
But she found major fame when she entered the South Indian Film industry through the Telugu film Kaliyuga Pandavulu. She moved to Chennai to pursue South Indian cinema more aggressively and since then has acted in more than 150 movies. She has appeared opposite actors such as Rajinikanth, Kamal Hassan, Vijayakanth, Sarath Kumar, Chiranjeevi, Vishnuvardhan, and Ambareesh.
Her fandom was such that in Tamil Nadu cinema, many dishes in Tamil Nadu were named after Khushbu, Khushbu idli was the most popular food item named after the actress. She has also been involved in politics. First, she joined DMK, then INC and now, she is a BJP member. From a leading actress to a politician, she has seen a lot of ups and downs but she is, perhaps one of the best-known actresses in the South Indian industry.
