With the pandemic taking a toll globally, impacting on lives and economy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announces the extension of lockdown till May 3.
The lockdown was supposed to be lifted on April 14 but then taking into consideration the present scenario of our nation, the lockdown has been extended.
At the press meet, on April 14, firstly, he wishes the people who have their respective new years today. And then talks about how the nation is combating at a commendable pace with COVID-19.
Comparing with other nations, India is doing far better.
He also said that till April 20 there will be a strict surveillance, from every zilla to cities, will be checked.
After April 20, things are going to get bit easy considering the situation of farmers only at the no hotspot zone, things will partially be lift up.
He also announced the 7 guidelines considering the pandemic :
1. Help senior citizens
2. Download Aarogya sethu app
3. Respect frontline workers
4. Improve the immunity
5. Help the poor in such a situation.
6. Don’t sack employees
7. Follow the lockdown norm.
He also urged the people to practice ‘Social distancing’ as it is a only holistic approach to curtail the spread of virus.
Already the cases have crossed 9000 in India and now the lockdown will be in much serious manner to control the present situation.
Also asked people to not panic as all the essentials will be availed.
