As Adivi Sesh celebrated his 35th birthday on Thursday, superstar Mahesh Babu, who is co-producing the former’s next, Major, unveiled his first look from the film. “Happy to present the first look of #Major!! Wishing you a very happy birthday @AdiviSesh. I’m sure Major will go down as one of your best performances. Good luck and happiness always! (Sic),” the actor wrote.
In the poster, Sesh is a picture of concentration as he grips a gun, supposedly aiming it towards the perpetrators of the 26/11 terrorist attack in Mumbai. The actor is playing Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, a National Security Guard commando, who had led the Black Tornado operation to save hostages in the 26/11 Taj Hotel attack in Mumbai. He was martyred in action. The film, shot in Hindi and Telugu simultaneously, is based on Sandeep’s life. It is 70 percent over.
While thanking Mahesh, Sesh wrote, “I hope that this Summer, we live up to your expectations #MajorTheFilm means everything to me and your words of encouragement make us soar higher. My gratitude to #Namrata gaaru as well. It is a blessed birthday (sic).” Sony Picture International Productions is foraying into Telugu cinema with Major, co-produced by Mahesh, Adivi Entertainment, Sharath Chandra and Anurag Reddy’s A+S Movies. The film also stars Sobhita Dhulipala, Saiee Manjrekar, Prakash Raj, Revathi and Murali Sharma in pivotal roles.
