Mission and Celebration of Spreading Awareness about Health and Fitness

Every year, the RK beach road stretch is filled with activity as women in large numbers enthusiastically take part in editions of ‘Vizag going pink’- The run for women’s health and breast cancer awareness Owing to the pandemic, where the norms need to be followed, the Pinkathon ambassadors have come up with a different idea. Pinkathon ambassadors from the city are gearing up to train women to prepare them to participate in the marathon.

Vizag Going Pink under the umbrella of India Going Pink is the women’s only run for women’s health and breast cancer awareness. The Pinkathon Day in Vizag will be held on November 1, 2020. Unlike every year, this year there are different locations for the event. They include YMCA-BEACH ROAD, MVP COLONY, VISALSKSHINAGAR- RUSHIKONDA, SEETHAMADHARA, and SIMHACHALAM. All locations are approved by the Indian supermodel and fitness promoter Milind Soman and team Pinkathon.

What makes this event unique this year? Men/Boys can also participate in this event provided that they are accompanied by a Female/Girl. Kids can also participate in the guidance of an adult.

“However, the event will be planned and executed based on the Covid-19 situation in the city. We will respect and follow all measures and guidelines by the Govt. So the event might be virtual if the situation demands it,” stated the pink than ambassadors from the city.

“#Unstoppable_No_Matter What! Is the tagline of the event this year. We can’t and won’t stop our fitness regime because of any obstacles. It’s time we all must and should exercise every day to keep ourselves Fit n Healthy, increase our Immunity to fight any Viruses,” added the ambassador.
