As Covid second wave hit the country very badly, the situations around us a panic can help you re really horrifying and making us panic day by day. But one thing you must keep in mind is that rather than panicking, there are a few things that you shouldn’t do and also a few things that you should do to feel healthy, immune and stay safe from the virus.

Minimize Your Stress Levels

Stressing yourself too much will actually make your body restless. You might be aware that an average human body requires about 7-8 hours of sleep. With increased stress levels, your sleep cycle will be disturbed and this will make you tired. Deprived sleep may cause impairment of body functions. Maintaining Hygiene

This is something that you should be having even during the normal times and not just Corona ties, but Corona is now pushing everyone to be hygiene. It is good to wash your hands regularly atleast for 20 seconds. We all might be very well aware of these practices as it is already one year since the pandemic and these should be continued even after the pandemic ends. Using sanitize when you are outside and where you don’t have access to water and wash basin.

Hydrating Yourself

8-10 liters of water is what keeps a normal human hydrated in a day. Staying hydrated that is taking adequate amounts of water helps in flushing out unwanted toxins from the body. Vitamin C enriched citrus fruit juices will also help a lot in hydration. So, keep drinking water, juices and stay hydrated.


As mentioned earlier in the first point, one should take physical activity seriously as it not just help in minimizing the stress levels, but also helps to staying fit and improve hygiene.

Vitamin C Rich Foods

Vitamin C is an essential nutrient that acts like an antioxidant. Antioxidants fight against the free radicals that fight against the immune system. So, Vitamin C rich foods like citrus fruits, kiwi, broccoli, red and green peppers, strawberries etc will help in improving the immune system.

Vitamin E Foods

Vitamin E also acts an antioxidant as told earlier and it is actually found highly effective. So, try eating Vitamin E rich foods like almond butter, avocado, sunflower oil, hazelnuts, peanut butter.



Zinc helps in the development of certain immune cells. But keep in mind that over usage of zinc may lead to impairment of immune system, so take zinc in limited and as required. Zinc rich foods include cashews, chickpeas, baked beans.


These are another type of antioxidants that when consumed will be converted into Vitamin A. Carrots, apricots, papaya, mango, sweet potato, spinach are some of the examples of carotenoids.

Omega-3 Fatty Acids


These are essential fatty acids and they are capable of suppressing inflammation. Sea fish, walnuts, chia seeds are some of the examples of Omega-3 fatty acids.
