AP Government launches Nethanna Neshtham within six months of its start to support weavers. Chief Minister said that they were providing the support in advance so as to reduce the financial burden caused by lockdown.
The scheme was originally launched on December 21, 2019 on the occasion of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy birthday and he thought of launching it on the same date this year. But keeping in mind the suffering of the weavers due to lockdown and no proper marketing available for their goods due to Corona, He launched it in advance.
An amount of Rs 400 crore will be spent this year and an amount of Rs 103 crore, which is not paid by the previous government is released to APCO along with that an amount of Rs 109 crore is also paid today to APCO, for the material taken for preparing masks.
