All the temples across the East Godavari district have been completely closed for the last one month. Only the priests visit the temples for lamp offerings. With this, the Satya Deva temple at Annavaram has decided to provide an online darshan of the Lord to the devotees. All types of ‘Archanas’ and ‘Sevas’ can now be viewed live online except for the anointing of Swamy Moola Virat located in sanctum sanctorum.
Vendra Trinath Rao, Joint Commissioner, Temple Administrator, provided all the services and pujas of the Swami to the devotees online. The online worship program started on Sunday. Already this process has been introduced in Vadapalli Venkateswara Swamy Temple. It got a good response from the devotees. All the devotees have to do is pay a fee and perform pujas online. The Endowments Department is also happy that the revenue would come to the temple even in the curfew times.
Devotees would be sent a YouTube link if they pay the prescribed fee for the daily ‘Vratas’ at the temple. Ayushya Homam, Nithya Kalyanam and Chandi Homam would be performed at Vanadurga Temple every Friday, Chandi Homam at Moola Nakshatra Day at Kanakadurga Temple and Surya Namaskar on every Sunday. A special studio has been set up for the purpose atop the Ratnagiri hills.
