In the wake of the Visakhapatnam being declared as Executive Capital, the state government is taking utmost concern and laying more focus to build a six-lane beach road project between the Visakhapatnam-Bhogapuram Airport for ease of traffic and living.
The project has gained significance as the key offices of the executive capital, once shifted to Vizag, may also come in the surroundings of Bheemili due to the availability of large land pockets and the right ecosystem and infra. The proposed mobility options such as the metro rail project (till Bhogapuram airport), greenfield international airport in Bhogapuram, the almost completed Anakapalli-Anandapuram highway, the huge coastline, and now the proposal of six-lane from Bheemili to Bhogapuram would make the region an aerotropolis.
Speaking to Hello Vizag, Tourism Minister, M Srinivasa Rao said “as a part of the highway project, the one-kilometer long bridge will be constructed on the middle of Gosthani river, which falls between the projected area. The decision to this effect taken by the chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and concerned officials are taking the proposal in right earnest. “Once the Detailed Project Report gets sanctioned, related works will start as per the directions of Chief Minister. The proposed bridge will be iconic structure and will completely change the Bheemli region once for all,” Mr. Rao added.
