As Rana Daggubati celebrated his 36th birthday on Monday, the makers of his next, Viraata Parvam, dropped his first glimpse from the film, which is inspired from the events that prevailed in ’90s. The brief glimpse introduces him as comrade Ravanna who is seen marshalling his troop and fighting against injustice.
The glimpse ends with the director Venu Udugula showing his leading man as a commoner Dr Ravi Shankar who is leading a protest with his villagers.
The film’s shooting is in the final leg right now in Hyderabad and in a couple of days, the entire shoot will be wrapped up. Viraata Parvam, a love story, also sheds light on the Maoist movement, specifically the moral dilemma that prevailed back then. The likes of Priyamani, Naveen Chandra, Nivetha Pethuraj, Sai Chand, Nandita Das, Easwari Rao and Zarina Wahab are playing supporting roles. It is a joint production venture between Suresh Babu and Sudhakar Cherukuri.
