The very renowned Puri Jagannath Rath Yatra in Odisha’s puri will be held today, June 23,2020 with prior conditions by the Supreme Court. It mentioned that the Rath Yatra should take place only in Puri with no people at all and also, the other Jagannath temples in and around Odisha wouldn’t be able to celebrate the Yatra. This was confirmed by the Chief Justice of India, Justice SA Bobde along with Justice Dinesh Maheshwari and Justice AS Bopanna.
To cut down the spreading of Coronavirus, the state government has imposed curfew and the chariot will be pulled by only 500 people and not more. During curfew, no one would be allowed to come out of their houses. Implementation of social distancing and performing corona tests will be mandatory it added.

20/06/2020- Netrotsav, only darshan.
21/06/2020- Nabajouban darshan, only darshan
22/06/2020- Ubha Yatra/ Tulasi Besa, only darshan.
23/06/2020- Ratha Yatra
27/06/2020- Hera panchami
01/07/2020- Bahuda yatra
This year, the rituals and Rath Yatra would be covered by the visual media. The live telecast will be by Doordarshan and other channels.
