Although not officially announced, Ravi Teja has given his verbal nod for Maruthi’s next and it has been in development for the past five months. But it seems the project has hit a roadblock. According to reports, Ravi Teja has walked out of it after the producers — GA2 and UV Creations — failed to meet his remuneration demands.
The actor has reportedly demanded Rs 12 cr as his fee to be paid in one installment while proposing other options like Rs 13 cr in installments or Rs 10 crore in one-go plus a 20 percent share in profits. But it seems the production houses were willing him to pay only Rs 9 cr in addition to a share in profits.
The stalemate couldn’t move forward and the reports indicate that Ravi has exited the project. Left with no option, Maruthi, who has struck gold with Prathiroju Pandage last year, has initiated talks with Gopichand for the same project, it is said. The lead actor in the film will be seen as a criminal lawyer.
