Re-telecast of Ramayan in DD has garnered about 170 million viewers

With the news of Ramayan and Mahabharat being re –telecasted people went gaga.

The serial that is a decade old and had an immense population even then, people started watching it with its release in Doordarshan. It is faster than the Netflix and amazon platform.

Parents who used to watch these serials during their childhood days are living their old days. According to the stats provided by Broadcast Audience Research (BARC), it is said it has garnered about 170 million viewers.

And which is quite a lot, for a serial in DD, it is doing great and actually giving a tough competition to the OTT platforms. With the early morning Ramayan and in the afternoon Mahabharat, things have actually gone back to those old days and it is an entertainment zone for a lot of them.
