After tanking his own career to going through a dark and thorough preparation for being called the new clown prince of crime definitely Joaquin Phoenix has come a long way. Beating up his body to losing weight drastically, his hard work has definitely paid off.

Previously he was nominated for some exquisite movies like ‘The Master’, ‘Walk the Line’, ‘Gladiator’ but finally it was yesterday night that he stole the show by not just winning the Oscar but addressed an important issue through his acceptance speech which is being accepted and loved by all over the world.

He gave a message about solidarity and unity where he stated: “whatever the cause seems close to a person’s heart – be it gender inequality, racism or animal rights, it is about the fight against injustice.”

It is about the fight against the belief that one nation, one people, one race, one gender, or one species has the right to dominate, control, use, and exploit another with impunity.

Where the actor became the second performer after Heath Ledger to win an Oscar for playing the comic book villain, after making a political remark he also emphasized the importance of second chances in life with tears in his eyes where he said, ‘The only way to improve is making room for second chances and not by canceling each other out for their past mistakes’.
