Rs 500 crore allotted for new capital

The Government of Andhra Pradesh allocated Rs 500 cr for the development of necessary infrastructure in the new capital,  in the annual budget.

However, it is not clearly mentioned whether the amount  is allocated to Amaravati or Visakhapatnam.

An amount of Rs 189 crore was allocated for land pooling in the new capital region. Some people say that as Jagan Mohan Reddy is planning to develop Visakhapatnam as new capital, the amount is allocated for creating infrastructure and there is a plan even to go for land pooling. While others say that the amount is allocated to Amaravati, and allotment to land pooling means payment of gratuity to farmers who gave lands for Amaravati under land pooling.
