Towards this end, all the Anganwadi centers will be converted into Primary and Pre-primary schools for the children belonging to the poor families. Accordingly, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy directed the senior officials of the education department not to compromise on the quality of the works with regard to the infrastructure requirement of the Anganwadi centers.
For this, high-level advisory and curriculum committees have been formed to monitor the quality of food, sanitation, and bathrooms at Anganwadi centers. Also, a total of 27,438 number of Anganwadi new buildings will be added in phases in the future. All are undertaken up under the Nadu-Nedu program and identification of the land should be completed by September 30 and construction works should be started by December 1 and completed by June 30, 2021.
