Severe cyclonic storm AMPHAN to hit the coast of Andhra Pradesh


Just when the state is trying to cope up with a Pandemic another natural calamity awaits to cause havoc.

AMPHAN, a cyclonic storm which was formed in the Bay of Bengal towards the south of Andaman and Nicobar Islands that was initially thought to hit Myanmar has turned its coast and is now heading toward Andhra Pradesh.

According to the latest projection, there are high possibilities that the cyclone AMPHAN could hit the Uttar Andhra are comprising districts Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam by 9th of May.

The expected wind speed of this cyclone is 170 – 180 KMPH. If this cyclone hits Uttar Andhra it would just be a major disaster. With the state revenue being ZERO due to COVID-19 if this cyclones hits Andhra to cope up with it will be a very difficult thing.
