Foundation stone was laid by Vice Chancellor Prasad Reddy for setting up a skill development centre in Andhra University. The construction activity was started after the event at AU Marine Living Resource building.
While speaking about it VC Prasad Reddy said that an amount of Rs 1.25 cr to be incurred, on the AU- Avanthi Acqua Skill Development centre. This centre helps the youth belonging to fishermen families to gain required skills and also provides opportunities for their placement.
He also added that 3 more skill development centres to be set up soon, in the university premises and they are planing to get them ready by the next academic year.
